VE2RM Beacons

The club runs and hosts several beacons at VHF and above.

All beacons are on the same tower at our station located in grid FN25uk.

2-m band - 144.280 MHz - VE2FUT

• 3 W to a Halo antenna, horizontal polarization.
• Kenwood TR-9130.
• Mounted just above the 10 GHz.

1.25-m band - 222.285 MHz - VE2FUT

• 5 W to a pair of Halo antennas, horizontal polarization, FSK.
• Homebrew transmitter and keyer.

9-cm band - 3456.288 MHz - VE2FUT

• 3 W to antenna
• Homebrew transmitter and keyer.
• This band is no longer an amateur radio allocation in the USA as it is in Canada

3-cm band - 10368.38+/- MHz - VE2TWO

• 10 W to 24-slot waveguide antenna (or "Alford slot").
• Transmitter and amplifier are by DB6NT and were provided by Ray, VE3FN.
• Mounted at about 110' on our tower.
• Frequency varies between 10368.381 and 10368.383 MHz depending on the outside temperature.
