Welcome to VE2RM. Our repeaters are amongst the earliest on the air in the Montreal area. Strategically situated between Montreal and Ottawa, our site has played an important role in amateur radio operations since the early 60's.
VE2RM has always played an important role in the advancement of amateur radio in the area. We housed the first ever packet digipeater, installed by the founders of packet radio, Bob Rouleau VE2PY and Norm Pearl VE2BQS. Many clubs have even tried to copy our original courtesy beep.
Our club is very fortunate in that we own everything we possess including the land the shack and tower stand on. This peace of mind has allowed us to focus our energies in areas of interest to the club without the fear of losing the site.
